I can say this as an MBA
Isn't it ironic that the first President with an MBA is the leader of the worst managed government in this country's history?

    Fox News
Fox News should not be allowed to be called News.

On a day that the longest sentence EVER for a member or former member of Congress was handed down (100 months for the Dukestir Cunningham, by the way) and a few days after a video was released of the President of the United States blatantly lying about the preparation for Katrina - there was not even a mention of either one of these newsworthy events on Hannity & Colmes.

    Hannity & Colmes was featuring:
    1) A Yale student who was once a spokesman for a member of the Taliban regime.
    2) A teacher who was taped by his student and mentioned some disdain for President Bush.
    3) A tape of Greta Van Sustren's interview with the lead suspect in the Natalie Holloway case.

I can see why Bush's approval rating is 38% and is not lower. I'm sure people approve get their "news" from this Fox propaganda machine. They think that this country's biggest problems are Afganis at Yale and Opinionated Teachers. It must be great to be so misinformed, they don't know about the ineptitude of the Federal Government or the massive corruption happening at the highest levels of government. Hopefully, when election day comes around they'll be so misinformed that they won't know how to vote.

You know what show was funny
The Critic. I really enjoyed that one. Discuss.

Also, if I eat turkey sausage all the time, is that healthy because it's turkey or is it unhealthy because it's sausage?

    Funny Congressman
Rep. John Dingell (D-MI) wrote a little poem about Bill O'Leilly's latest crusade. It's pretty good. It was in a response to a resolution (House Resolution 579) calling for support of "the symbols and traditions of Christmas." The vote was 401 for and 22 against, with 228 Republicans, 172 Democrats, and one independent voting in favor of the measure.

'Twas a week before Christmas and all through the House,
no bills were passed 'bout which Fox News could grouse.
Tax cuts for the wealthy were passed with great cheer,
so vacations in St. Barts soon should be near.

Katrina kids were all nestled snug in motel beds,
while visions of school and home danced in their heads.
In Iraq, our soldiers need supplies and a plan,
and nuclear weapons are being built in Iran.

Gas prices shot up, consumer confidence fell.
Americans feared we were in a fast track to ... well.
Wait, we need a distraction, something divisive and wily,
a fabrication straight from the mouth of O'Reilly.

We will pretend Christmas is under attack,
hold a vote to save it, then pat ourselves on the back.
Silent Night, First Noel, Away in the Manger,
Wake up Congress, they're in no danger.

This time of year, we see Christmas everywhere we go,
From churches to homes to schools and, yes, even Costco.
What we have is an attempt to divide and destroy
when this is the season to unite us with joy.

At Christmastime, we're taught to unite.
We don't need a make-up reason to fight.
So on O'Reilly, on Hannity, on Coulter and those right-wing blogs.

You should sit back and relax, have a few egg nogs.

'Tis the holiday season; enjoy it a pinch.
With all our real problems, do we really need another Grinch?
So to my friends and my colleagues, I say with delight,
a Merry Christmas to all, and to Bill O'Reilly, Happy Holidays.

    Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas.

I just bought the first roll of wrapping paper I have ever bought it my life. I think that means I'm an adult, doesn't it? Now I need to learn how to use it.

    Gerald Ford Take 2
How about this for a headline: Cheney Told Aide of C.I.A. Officer, Notes Show. Well this is a headline in the New York Times tomorrow. If Cheney is indicted because it is found that he urged Libby to disclose this information, then he'll have to resign. And when the Democrats take back the House in 2006 and start impeachment hearings due to the High Crimes associated with the War, like lying to elected officials about intelligence, etc., that will be the end of Bush as President. So, the new President will be the person who is appointed VP after Cheney is thrown in jail. Therefore, we get an unelected Republican running the country, a la Gerald Ford.

I guess history does repeat itself sometimes.

    I'm old
    You Are 29 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

    How many people died?
I saw Day After Tomorrow yesterday and had a question about it. How many people died in that movie? I'm guessing about give or take 10 Million. Yet the ending was presented as happy. That's a little weird.

Also, in what movie did more people die - Day After Tomorrow or Independence Day?

I have so many Google products now, it's ridiculous.

    Google Desktop
    Google Earth
    Picassa
    Gmail

Why do I have a feeling that they know everything about me know? They probably even know that I'm blogging about them right now. They're probably not too happy with me. Uh oh, what if they want to shut me up, you think they'll come after me? If I go missing for a few days, call Google headquarters. If you don't know the number, you can always Google it.

    Being More Mad
Watch this and become more mad about the President.

    http://mediamatters.org/items/200509020001

He says "we will succeed" What he doesn't get is that we have already failed. People didn't have food for 4 days and were dying in a major US city. You can't start with that and end with a success.

    Charity
President George Bush has urged the American people to donate to charities to aid with the Hurricaine Katrina clean up. I will be donating, but it brings up a question - Isn't our tax money supposed to be used for this? What happened to the tax money that should be going to this? Is it with the National Guard and equipment that should be aiding in the rescue and evacuation that is now in Iraq?

Also, there are stories of people dying of dehydration in New Orleans, after spending 4 days without any food or water. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE IN THE UNITED STATES????? Why weren't there any airdrops of C-rations and water to these people in the Convention Center and Superdome? It is really amazing how inempt the Federal Government has been in response to this tragedy.

Another thought: When Bush did his flyover of the City of New Orleans yesterday, did they have to evacuate the helicopters from airspace? If so, it's just more evidence of how clueless this administration is about what people need. They need to be evacuated, not to have a flyover by Karl Rove.

Quote of the week: "I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees. They did appreciate a serious storm but these levees got breached and as a result much of New Orleans is flooded and now we're having to deal with it and will," President George W. Bush. By the way, US News and World Report did a story about the New Orleans levees breaching 6 weeks ago.

    Top 5 Bands
This is a lame High Fidelity reference, but learn to deal with it.

I was talking to Sr. Bleiweiss last night about our favorite bands/singers and I think it's a good idea to write it down and get some feedback about it.

I think that a favorite band would be one that when you hear one of their songs on the radio, you always stop and listen to it.

    OK, so here it goes:

    1. The Who
    2. Cat Stevens
    3. Simon & Garfunkel/Paul Simon
    4. Pink Floyd
    5. Tom Petty
    6. The Beatles

    OK, I picked 6 - I'm sorry.

I really enjoy all these bands/singers and would always listen to any of their songs if they were playing on the radio.
